Here are some tips to help you have a GREAT party!
Show the catalog to EVERYONE you know.
Point out the Customer Bonus Buys. They do not count toward your Free Merchandise, but people will often buy a little more just to get the Bonus Buy.
Take order forms with you (copies are okay).
Please ask for the customer’s name, address and telephone number. Write the item numbers and the item names. If anyone uses a credit card, please check for all 16 digits and the expiration date. Indicate whether the card is a MasterCard, Visa, or Discover card and write the person’s name EXACTLY as it appears on the credit card. Based on the merchandise total, calculate the sales tax and shipping charge. Checks should be made payable to Decorating Gifts.
Calculate your FREE and Half-Price Merchandise.
A party order is at least $200 in retail sales, and your hostess benefits are generous! Add together all customer merchandise sales (excluding Bonus Buys) and take 20% of that total. That is the amount you receive in FREE merchandise of your choice! For each $100 in regular merchandise sales, you can choose an item/grouping at Half-Price. At this time check with me and I will help you get all the FREE and Half-Price merchandise that you have earned.
Close Your Catalog Party.
Explain to your customers when you will be placing the order with me. I will enter the order on-line, and the shipment will be delivered to your home in about two weeks.
